Abstract: Preservice teachers (PST) in Physical Sciences experience difficulties in learning gases and Kinetic Molecular Theory (KMT). They are also required to teach this topic at high school. Identifying their scientific conceptions and alternative conceptions will assist educators to seek ways of supporting future teachers to remediate their conceptions. Variation theory is explored as ways to seek the different ways in which PST come to collaborate and experience gases and KMT. Twenty-seven PST in nine groups drew their collaborative concept maps of gases and KMT using CmapTools©, an online software. Analysis of these concept maps via Variation theory concepts of awareness, discernment, simultaneity and patterns of variation showed that PST do have a superficial understanding of gases and KMT, often based on factual learning and algorithmic knowledge of formulae. The research findings imply that textbook writers and curriculum designers need to take cognizance of how gases and KMT are presented and sequenced in their materials and lessons. Also educators can further explore how variation theory, concept mapping and collaborative work can enhance their teaching strategies to improve their students’ learning.

Abstract: The software development is primarily more important for the business organisation due to its dynamic changes that has to be carried out in a less span of time. Over the last two decades, many business organizations had noticed that a generous amount of non-trivial legacy software frameworks fail due to unstructured architectural design. Consequently, software reuse will improves the quality of the product, increases the productivity and reduces the costs in an organization. .Refactoring is professional procedure for managing the software systems. Indeed, programmers practice regularly with refactoring tools in two different occasions- normal program development phase whenever and wherever design problems arise. Secondly these tools are needed at the time of code duplication, specifically when adding a new feature, the programmer need to remove the duplication using the re-factor tool. Based on level of automation, refactoring can be classified into three categories-Fully manual refactoring, Semi-automatic refactoring and automatic refactoring. However, fully manual refactoring and semi-automatic refactoring tools are underused, because sometimes fails to recognize the legacy code and chasing the error messages that leads to more error-prone However, the refactoring tools are not correct in every possible cases, and programmers cannot trust them. One has to make sure that the functionality of the legacy system remains intact after going through the process of migration. Hence there is a need to build certified refactoring tools which were useful for industrial developments. This paper presents generic automated tools for analyzing the legacy software systems, , a novel refactoring tool called GAFactor which detects a developers legacy code, complete the refactoring automatically and finally we propose the complete automated certification mechanism which certifies all the functional components of a service or application and various processes involved during the certification phase

Abstract: The Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) 2013 report indicated that children in sub-Saharan African countries are deprived of their rights to good health facilities and nutrition that would have helped them to develop fully. However, it would seem that the levels if child deprivation differ from country to country. This research aimed at comparing the levels of child deprivation in Ghana and Nigeria. Five areas of childs deprivation were identified. These are: water, sanitation, shelter, electricity and food, as identified in the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) data for Ghana and Nigeria. The levels of childs deprivation of those basic amenities based on employment status, residence and religion of the parents were compared. Data analysis using descriptive measures and inferential statistics was carried out and the results showed high proportion of malnourished children. The analysis revealed that there are children depending on surface water, living in mud floors and had no education, in both countries. The results further showed that the educational background of parents, employment status and place of residence have significant effects on the level of child deprivation. The entire results could assist policy makers in proposing new ways of improving child development in both countries. Based on the outcomes of this study strategies were proposed that could inform policies on ways of improving child development in the countries studied.

Abstract: Commercial vessels utilized seawater in ballast tank to maintain the stability of the vessels. Ballast system used ballast pump to distribute the seawater inside and outside the ballast tank. The disposal of ballast water from commercial vessels affected the aquatic environment which was entered by commercial vessels. This study is aimed to assess the quality of commercial vessels ballast water in Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang (PTES) in the west moonson based on phytoplankton saprobity. Certain phytoplankton had tolerance to the dark environment, the lack of oxygen, and the polluted water. Phytoplankton could be used as bioindicator for the changes in aquatic environment. The adaptation of phytoplankton in the ballast tank of commercial vessels could be witnessed by the discovery of eight phytoplankton classes, they were Bacillariophyceae, Dinophyceae, Euglenoidea, Conjugatophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Charophyceae, Chrysophyceae, Conjugatophyceae and Chlorophyceae. The dominant genus in the commercial vessels in order were Skeletonema followed by Chaetoceros and Nizschia. The research resulted in the domination and survivability of Skeletonema sp. against the changing environment. Saprobity value index (SI) of ballast water of commercial vessels anchored in PTES was ranging from 0.4 to 2 with the lowest value held by GW vessel and the highest value held by A vessel. SI value of commercial vessel showed ballast water in the oligosaprobic state or has not been polluted yet. To prevent the spread of phytoplankton through commercial vessel ballast tank based on International Maritime Organization (IMO) in the Convention of Ballast Water Management in 2004, commercial vessels must obey basic standard D1 that said the vessels must change ballast water in the middle of ocean.

Abstract: In mitigating challenges of highly competitive environment such as reduction in government funding, it is important for the board of directors (BODs) in the non-profit organisations (NPOs) to appropriately manage the various risks faced by their organizations. The management of the risks can be conveyed to the relevant stakeholders through disclosure in annual reports. However, since NPOs reporting requirements are traditionally loosen, the information is not fully disclosed resulting in reduction of the credibility and usefulness of the information to the various stakeholders. Hence, it is vital to look into the factors affecting the NPOs decisions on risk management disclosure (RMD). This study aims to examine the influence of organizational resources in terms of human and financial resources on RMD for NPOs in Malaysia. Using content analysis on annual reports of 219 NPOs registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), this study found that on average, almost 50% of the NPOs disclosed their risks information and of these, disclosures on financial and reputational risks are more than 50%. It is also found that only human resources represented by board efficiency and commitment are significantly associated with the extent of RMD in NPOs. Thus, human resources is the most influential asset that affect risk management of the organisation. Findings from this study provide insights on the control mechanisms which represented by the human and financial resources as incentive to a better RMD for NPOs.

Abstract: Urban generation projects, conducted by Municipalities, are put into practice in many cities in Turkey. Recently, those projects have been conducted in various areas of Bursa as well. In this study, two urban regeneration practices, with different spatial and physical outcomes, are evaluated by means of their qualifications and security. Both observational and ethnographic research methods were used along with the survey, conducted to the residents of Doğanbey Toki and Kızyakup, throughout the empirical study. The paper concludes that the project of trying to solve the problems of derelict areas in central locations with partial improvements plans, which do not take the social and physical integration into account, may fall short of creating a secure life in a sustainable and livable environment for the original dwellers without the citizen participation.

Abstract: Exclusivity clause practices by South Africa’s major food retail chain groups as well as wholesale traders have led to concerns about the potential exclusion of new market entrants, reduced competition between supermarkets and broader competitors and the detrimental effects on consumers. Analysis based on comprehensive qualitative survey and interview based research revealed congruence between the perceptions of shopping centre owners and consumers, but less so with the preferences of food and grocery retailers that are, almost without exception, reveal exclusivity aspirations. These preferences appear to be founded on widely diverging motivations: whereas shopping centre owners strive towards increased market share, research suggests that the consumer reveals an affinity to convenience, choice and access to preferred brands – although the loyal consumer (perhaps more so the cash strapped and heavily indebted lower and middle income segments of the market) may be swayed from a preferred brand in search of the occasional ‘bargain’. Whereas a shopping centre anchored by a multiple grocer offering may well have an enhanced power of attraction over its single grocer peers, food and grocer retailers persist with the argument that – in spite of distinct consumer brand preferences – the differentiated food and grocer retail brands offer a relatively homogenous product and the best way for such retailers to retain market share, in their view, is by keeping the competition out.

Abstract: Dagestan has a warm Caspian sea, many of the Delta lagoons and lakes, lakes and reservoirs in the mountains, mountain rivers and trout streams. This is one of the most promising objects of fishing tourism in Russia. Like other types of tourism, organized by the sport fishing ensures the growth of tax revenues in rural areas, there is the development of related economic activities, smooths out the seasonal fluctuations in rural employment. However, the development of fishing tourism, together with existing industrial and illegal fishing activity is an additional pressure on fish stocks, especially in such a unique natural reserve of the Delta of the rivers Kuma, Terek, Sulak and Samur. Therefore it is necessary to provide for the formation of such mechanisms of management in Dagestan, which would ensure the interest of owners of fishing bases in the replenishment of fish stocks. High yield sports-fishing business must be a factor of construction investment and increasing the competitiveness of fish-breeding enterprises of Dagestan. In the article special attention is paid to the formation of local and regional tourist and agricultural clusters. Economic-geographical zoning of the territory for the development of fishing tourism is based on the basin principle. This allows you to talk about creating a fishing-conveyors from sea to high mountains.

Abstract: Leadership has evolved through time and space. In the context of Philippine Schools Overseas (PSOs), school administrators have rich experiences in dealing with subordinates who come from different regions in the Philippines with varied cultural backgrounds and mores. These diverse cultures have made school administrators mindful and creative in resolving issues and concerns between and among the members of the school system. Capturing the lived experiences of a group of principals and coordinators in selected Philippine Schools in the State of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Libya, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this qualitative study which employs phenomenology as its design, has discovered a new leadership genre in school management known as proversified leadership with three leadership styles: Assimilative Leadership, Unificative Leadership, and Simulative Leadership. These leadership styles are exhibited by these administrators to ensure that the day-to-day management in schools is within the bounds of harmony, productivity, and collegiality among members of the school organization. The study concludes that proversified leadership is the new leadership genre evident among school principals and coordinators which can be a powerful lens to look at schools as a macrocosm of management for dynamic leaders like those of PSOs.

Abstract: The methodological study was conducted to develop a detox assessment tool for women. Through a literature review, discussions, and consultations, the researchers determined that detoxification comprises diet, exercise, physical symptoms, life habits, the environment, and mental health. These six categories in the preliminary questionnaire were measured using 60 items. A panel verified the content validity of the 60 items; ultimately, 42 items were selected. A factor analysis of data collected from 155 subjects to identify construct validity yielded 22 items with factor loadings of 62.4% that should be included in the final version of the tool. The tool with 22 items in four categories—diet, physical symptoms, exercise, and life habits and environment—was developed. The results of the criterion validity analysis indicated that free radicals were significantly correlated with the total scores of the detox assessment tool. Detox assessment scores were significantly higher in the group with free radical levels above 1000. There were significant differences in detox assessment scores according to age, economic status, operation and chemotherapy, and free radical levels. The researchers suggest a follow-up study that applies thedetox assessment tool for women. Detox interventions should be implemented for women who have a higher detox assessment score.

Abstract: Parts manufacturing in nanoscale and investigating their properties involve some limitations, and in some cases it is practically impossible; therefore, scholars have recently focused on micro-parts in natural scale, which has led to the advent of the field of nanostructures. Phenacenes with formula C4n+2H2n+4 are a family of organic molecules which have received a lot of attention in nanoscale. However, investigating the Thermodynamic properties is highly expensive, especially when there are more than 6 loops. The present study was conducted in order to predict the Thermodynamic properties of phenacenes family using Topological Indices Method (TIM). Topological index is a numeral molecular graph which is referred to as molecular graph. This number indicates some molecular properties. One of the topological indices is RRR which is investigated and measured in phenacenes family. Afterwards, by calculating boiling point, melting point, heat of formation, and Gibbs energy for some members of this family and comparing them with data provided by valid articles, we could propose an appropriate model to predict some thermodynamic properties of this family.

Abstract: As organizations become more complex, it becomes extremely relevant to research and theorize about new models or approaches that would enable the achievement of their goals, with high standards of quality and excellence; evidently, this statement makes perfect sense at the university scope. Therefore, this work has the main purpose of conducting a review of three new organizational theories (Agency Theory, Stewardship Theory, and Stakeholders Theory) that can be perfectly used in the government of Universities. To achieve this purpose, secondary sources are used, composed fundamentally of specialized academic articles. It is concluded that an analysis restricted to only one theory is not enough to address the multidimensionality of the universities, for which is entirely justified to do so from different perspectives and approaches.

Abstract: In recent wireless world, Mobile Ad hoc networks have been revolutionized to be a right replacement or, compared with the various wireless networks traditionally. Networking is a challenging area where nodes related to mobiles and path links are created dynamically and broken. At present LQ-AOMDV routing algorithms create path for a broken route from source to destination, based on optimal path selection using Swam Intelligence. This algorithm does not create a path based on load balance and also with effective speed. It creates a path based on optimal swam method. Our proposed work effectively creates path based on load balance and power consumption, and discovery various paths from source to destination from the previous of link failure node. Our work is mainly based on optimization of path discovery based on energy and load and effectively increases the speed of routing from source to destination. We checked the ability of the dynamic path creation in a link failure based on speed ability with overheads and delay based on performances of the available protocols.

Abstract: In the third decade of the third millennium, totalitarian regimes have changed their principle: nowadays we call them fundamentalisms. The open society and the care to the death of liberty and democracy in an individual way and in a group, appear as the unique opposing parties for facing them, even inside of the democracies themselves, when messianic leaders appear and argue the care of the established order, not only when is about their territory, but also beyond. Historicism has not dead, as some people would want, looking for it with a lamp during the clear day; it is presented in shape of liberty and eternal Paradise.\r\n\r\nNowadays, democracy is found facing another challenge, which without doubt has put democracy in alert. The fundamentalism, the West or the East, touched with strength the doors of Europe since the beginning of the third millennium. To the West fundamentalism of the falcons of administration of Bushs son to attacks to liberty of expression in France by the fundamentalists from the East, the figure of the Austrian philosopher Karl Popper, appears as an argument more for looking after and to defend democracy. His liberalism, misunderstood by many people, teach us to have respect for our neighbors and at the same time, to stop every iota of totalitarianism and in the current situation, fundamentalism.

Abstract: The aim of research is the use of collector-drainage water for irrigation and improvement of water availability of irrigated land. It was found that when using the collector-drainage water for irrigation occur soil salinization. To reduce the speed of the process of salinization of soil, collector-drainage water was diluted with fresh water. This method is provided an increase in the share of collector-drainage water in irrigation norm. When mineralization of collector - drainage water 1.2-1.9 g/l, their share was 85%, with mineralization 2.6-3.6 g/l - 69.3% and 4,8-5,3 g/l - 38.5% of the irrigation rate. Key words: irrigation, deficit, mineralization, salinity, collector-drainage water.
